On 23 July 1942 Sub-Lieutenant A J Crawford was promoted to the rank of temporary Lieutenant as per the London Gazette, dated 11 August 1942.
On 30 June 1944 the London Gazette announced that Acting Lieutenant (E) Crawford was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant (E) with seniority from the 16 February 1943.
