In Jan/96, their first release, "I Can't Get Over You Tonight", had gone international on Hillcrest Music and was/is played on radio stations across Canada, along with a number of European countries.  During its first two months on the air, it made #56 on the Cancountry Hit Chart.  The group released their second single, "God Forsaken Land" in July of '96 both under the group name of AMARILLO.

The group has been very active in the past number of years.  They've wowed the crowd at the Houston Hilltop Roadhouse during Dauphin Countryfest and at the Big Valley Jamboree.  Along with playing a variety of charity events, jamborees, rodeos, cabarets and nightclubs, the band has had the opportunity of opening for headlines such as

THE BAND

Bob Markham is an accomplished keyboard player, talented vocalist and song writer who has been in  music for many years.  After playing on the road for a few years he decided to start placing all of those lyrics running through his head onto paper.  Presently he is directing his efforts for preparing a full length CD.  With some collaborative efforts from the band,  musical arrangements are some time co-ordinated with Bob's fabulous some writing capabilities.

From Regina, Myron Kopec joins the band as the bass player.  He helped form the bands roots back in '83.  Myron's energy and knowledge of the music helps everyone put the finishing touch on each piece of music.  His strong and solid style has been awarded by being identified as the best bass player at the Great Western Country Bandstand.

Another original member of the band, Ernie Hrywkiw, has been on the stage for the past 23 years and has played acoustic guitar, fiddle and has been both a lead and sensational harmony vocalist since the bands beginnings as AMARILLO.  Ernie's country singing style gives the band a distinctive country flavour.

Tying the band together is always the job of the drummer.  Glen Kozak's powerful and steady beat gives the band a strong foundation.  In addition to drums, he plays harmonica and is also another vocalist.  Glen has achieved the reputation as "one of Saskatchewan's best drummers", by receiving awards for two years running in the Great Western Bandstand competition and also in the Coors Country Bandstand.

The newest member of the band has played across North America.  He is a sensational lead guitar player and vocalist coming to us from Regina.  Paul Dyck, opens the doors to a wide range of music styles, from blues and country to good ol' rock'n roll.

The band are also members of the
Saskatchewan Recording Industry and Saskatchewan Country Music Association (SCMA) and have been a past nominees for "Best Non-Touring Group".

Together, they put their abilities to work and create a unique, enjoyable and marketable sound.
