Labrador Info
Labs are  an amazing breed. They can do just about every dog sport there is, they are truly versatile. They have the number one spot for largest amounts of purebred registries to the AKC. If you've ever owned a Lab, you know why. Their love to please their master, and their outlook on life make them a fun, loving breed to have.The qualities characters of a Lab are in it's name:

L = Loyal
A = Affectionate
B = Brave
R = Rugged
A = Agile
D = Determined
O = Obedient
R = Retriever

What more could you want?

There are also what are considered "types" of Labs. In general, 'field', 'upland', and 'American' are taller, longer in body, and lighter boned than 'show', 'water', or 'English'. They are what most people see at dog shows, while 'Americans' are out in the field running 100 mph(Ok, maybe not that fast, but they don't make very good house pets unless you(can) give them lots of exercise.)
