CLINICAL CASE PRESENTATION
Ilizarov treatment of Charcot neuro-arthropaty and vascular insufficiency of the leg (1999)
68 old lady suffering of Charcot neuro-arthropaty associated to a vascular insufficiency of distal left limb secondary to a diabetic micro-vasculopaty. She presented a clubfoot and a trophic ulcer of the lateral side of the leg.

We planed to simultaneous
correct the foot with an Ilizarov frame with hinges and
do a vascular stimulation of the limb with a longitudinal corticotomy of tibia.

Frame assembly, clinical correction and xr during correction.
|
|
|
|
Evolution of the leg ulcer.
|
|
Final result after 6 months of correction and protection to avoid trauma over maleolar region.
