The picture to the right is of my 1600 dualport type 3 coming together. It has the fuel system bolted on and the start of the cooling system, but most of all it's bolted to the tranzaxle. Its a newly rebuilt case, stock built here locally by an engine builder i know. I bought new stock cylinders, piston, and rings. Also the dualport heads are less that a year old. Next step will be too change out the oil pump for a stock one. Oversized oil pumps will not work on type 3 motors, the cooling housing will not bolt up without the right clearance. Boy that is a shiney new aircooled motor. By this time i was already hearing the motor idle and was dying to hear it roar.
It was deffinately starting to get much colder and darker had to break out a lamp and get things ready faster if i wanted to finish getting it buttoned up. And it was starting to mist as well, was just about time to get the exhaust bolted on and put on the distributor.
