And here is me holding my fuel system, a set of type 3 fuel injection rails converted to fit a weber manifold for a porsche. Sitting on it is a Weber 2 barrel progressive, pict 34/36. As you can see i have the longblock stabbed and bolted up with help from GrizZ, cylinder tins and oil filler stand inplace. Also the oil cooler has been bolted on tight with new gaskets. After putting in the oil pressure gauge unit inplace of the oil light switch and fuel pump i was ready to switch out oil pumps and shave the oil pumps bottom studs to make room for the type 3 housing that will be bolted on. Hmm so shiney, gotta love that K&N filter charger too. With an extra long dipstick inplace i will have the clearance to use the type 1 block with the type 3 cooling housing and still be able to check the oil. Ihave  the full 7 piece classic baja body kit with original 69 vw rear and turn signal lights. You just got to love that with the baja your engine is sittng there on a engine stand ready to work on, though without removing the rear tailpiece it can have some tight spaces, with dark angles. Better then being under a hood i say, but it all in what ya like.
Gotta Admit it was some really nasty weather out and i had to take a few breaks to go in and get my hands warm, cause that metal is cold and with snow on the ground, and everything wet, and it trying to rain on you. You really have to be determined and dedicated to be out in it working on your bug.
