Part 20 - The Awakening
Part of me wont go away
Everyday reminded how much I hate it
Weighted against the consequences
Cant live without it so its senseless
Wanna cut it out of my soul
And just live with a gaping hole
Take control of my life
And wash out all the burnt taste
I made the problems in the first place
Hang my head low cause its part of me
Ya hardly see right next to the heart of me
Heard of me the routine scar
New cuts cover where the old ones are
And now Im sick of this
I cant stand the sandpaper thoughts that grade on my sanity
I rather not even be then the man thats staring in the mirror through me
Cut myself free willingly
Stop just whats killing me
Cut myself free willingly
Stop just whats killing me
Cut myself free willingly
Stop just whats killing me
Cut myself free willingly
Stop just whats killing me
I feel it everyday
I feel I made my way
I feel it swell up inside, swell up inside
Swallowing me
Freedom can be frightening if youve never felt it
Once its been dealt with you feel like youve been touched by something angelic
And then melted down into a pool of peace
Cease to be the animal you used to be
Remove the broken parts you know were wrong
And feel the calm when the problems all gone
And then you start to see another piece of yourself that you cant let be
Memories of the last fight to free yourself
Take it to the depths of the bottom of the well
And now you know you can choose to lose the part in your heart
Where your insides bruise
You can live if youre willing to
Put a stop to just whats killing you
Cut myself free willingly
Stop just whats killing me
Cut myself free willingly
Stop just whats killing me
Cut myself free willingly
Stop just whats killing me
Cut myself free willingly
Stop just whats killing me
I feel it everyday
I feel I made my way
I feel it swell up inside, swell up inside
Swallowing me
Alive in me, inside of me, a part of me screams away silently
This part of me wont go away, part of me wont go away
Everywhere I look around I see how everything aught to be
Every time I see myself theres always something wrong with me
I feel it everyday
I feel I made my way
I feel it swell up inside, swell up inside
Swallowing me
I feel it everyday
I feel I made my way
I feel it swell up inside, swell up inside
Swallowing me
I feel it swell up inside, swell up inside, swallowing me
I feel it swell up inside, swell up inside, swallowing me
"Who are you?!" Hermione demanded, catching her breath.
She looked behind her, seeing the deatheaters.
"We need to get out of here." the witch said.
"We can't! Ron, and Harry, and Ginny and Draco... they're still there!"
"Good lord, what the bloody hell were all of you doing out here?!"
"Look, please, I'll explain everything soon! But we need to help them!"
"Okay." Hermione commented to herself, then turned around and swung her wand up, shouting Forust Hermunyis at the deatheaters.
The deatheaters were swung off their feet and flew straight up in the air, and then quickly back down, but much farther away. Hermione gave a little laugh of astonishment. Smiling. Quickly the smile vanished from her face, remembering she had done the spell but also had remembered where she was.
She looked over at the witch.
"C'mon." the woman said, and Hermione followed her.
Ginny's eyes grew wider. Staring back at Draco she felt helpless. She saw something in Draco's right hand. It looked like another knife, almost a match with the one Voldemort had up to her neck. She felt the knife on her neck, slowly sinking beneath her skin. With a flash of light from the knife, she saw Draco stick it into Voldemort's back.
A yell came from Riddle as his grip loosened from the knife on Ginny's neck. And he fell to the cold floor with a loud thumping sound.
Ginny opened her mouth to say something, but realized she couldn't. She felt like she was drifting. Her mouth was open, but she could not say anything even though she wanted too. She felt tears roll down her eyes softly. The red vanished from her eyes, and turned into the pure cinnamon color they usually were. Her hand gripped at her neck instantly, and then she pulled her hand away to see it. A little puddle of blood was in her hands. She tried to swallow, but couldn't. She gasped slightly, trying to breathe as she saw Draco's figure, but too teary eyed to see his face, sit beside her, cradling her face against his chest. She felt his instant soft, gentle touch.
She didn't want to die.
He was so warm, and she felt a tear drop on her forehead. He was crying with her. She was dying.
She didn't want to die.
"It's okay." Draco's muffled voice whispered to her, cradling her, trying to comfort her.
"It'll be fine, Ginny." He was lying, he knew she knew he was lying. But it was the only thing he could think to say. He kissed her red hair gently, tears falling down his pale face.
He lifted her up to face him, his hands on her face. And he kissed her softly.
"I need you..." he said. "I love you, Ginny. Don't leave me... don't leave me, Ginny..."
Ginny could hear what he said. And she wanted to return the words, but she couldn't. Another tear rolled down her face.
A little yell released from her cold, dry lips. She coughed slightly, feeling Draco's hands against her face, wiping her tears.
Draco looked into her now pale, fading, cinnamon eyes. He knew he heard her. He could see it in her eyes. Blended with pain and fear. He wished she'd say something. She always knew what to say. He could see her struggle to stay awake, her eyes wide open, but drifting slowly.
A gasp escaped her lips and she fell into his lap quickly, breathing even more heavily.
"Ginny!" he screamed at her, trying to keep her alive.
"Ginny, listen to me! Don't go! Don't leave me! Stay here with me!"
Her breath stopped short, and she fell into a deep, dark, sleep. Draco felt her body, cold, and empty against his chest.
He looked at her. Her natural soft, peachy skin was now pale, like his. He breathed through the tears. An explosion of hate, anger and love flustered inside his stomach.
"Ginny..."
He looked at her, her eyes shut. Her cinnamon eyes no longer remained open to stare into. She was gone.
He saw something at the corner of his eye. He quickly looked over his shoulder to the young girl laying on top of two adults. On her neck was an amulet, glowing red. He looked back at Ginny.
She was lifeless...
Observation
GINNY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's basically the expression I got from a lot of people who sent me feedback. This kind of showed a little more of what was happening, what could happen. And that I wasn't too afraid to kill a lead. Now, ain't that horrible? I mentioned her eyes a lot, didn't you notice? The color of her eyes are all about what she's feeling. They turn black, blue, etc... many people wondered why but nobody ever asked but you'll find out in time.
