Part 17 - A Familiar Voice...
I am colorblind
Coffee black and egg white
Pull me out from inside
I am ready
I am ready
I am ready
I am taffy stuck and tongue tied
Stutter shook and uptight
Pull me out from inside
I am ready
I am ready
I am ready
I am fine
I am covered in skin
No one gets to come in
Pull me out from inside
I am folded and unfolded and unfolding
I am colorblind
Coffee black and egg white
Pull me out from inside
I am ready
I am ready
I am ready
I am fine
I am fine
I am...fine
"Harry, Ron!" she yelled, running through the forest. Her breath was starting to go short from running for a few minutes or so, but she didn't slow down the least bit. She ran as far as she could without taking a break. Hermione was beginning to think they found it already. If only she had come quick she could've caught up.
She breathed deeply and stopped short to take a break. Her deep breaths stopped as she looked up.
It was there. A transparent old castle standing only about 2 miles away. It looked as if no one could go into it it was so transparent. Hermione smiled. She had found them. But how was she to get in the castle? There was sure to be guards or spells blocking her.
She sighed to herself and started walking, she couldn't feel her legs she had been running so much, and she felt as if she couldn't run anymore. She wondered if Harry and Ron were okay. Something could've happened to them. Proffessor McGonagall didn't know they were here because Hermione hadn't answered her when she asked. But Hermione couldn't. If she did she wouldn't be able to get them back.
No one would allow her too.
She felt her legs again - and smiled deeply, starting to run.
What about Ginny? What about Malfoy? Were they okay? And Oliver? He was in the hospital next to Seamus Finnigan and the quidditch team - but still she had to know how he was doing. Seeing him in such a way had probably made her worry more.
"Harry?" Ron slid over to where Harry laid.
"Harry!" he shook Harry.
Harry's eyes opened, and he blinked his eyes hard, a headache forming between his eyes.
"What happened?"
"Those bloody deatheaters took us and put us in here. They took our wands, too. Why didn't they just kill us?"
"I don't know, this is Voldemort, he most likely wants to kill us."
"Ginny..." Ginny heard a snake like sound coming from her left side. She stopped breathing abruptly.
She knew that voice... she knew it so well. It was the voice she never wanted to hear again. She realized this had reminded her of her nightmares when she dreamt he had returned to kill her, to possess her once again. She quickly got to her feet without thinking - it was an impulse reaction of hers she had formed whenever she heard that voice.
"It's nice to see you again." he said evily, him moving closer so the darkness wouldn't hide his face.
"I've been waiting to see you once again."
She back away, looking behind her but not seeing anything. It is to dark! she thought. The darkness surrounded her, not showing her where to go. With every step she took backwards - he took a few forwards. She contemplated turning and running. But this was Tom Riddle, Voldemort. He would catch her before she could say anything. Could even take a step.
"How have you been, Ginny?" the lips slithered off his tongue, poisoning her ears...
"Finally..." she stopped about 50 inches from the castle - she didn't know what to do. She hadn't exactly thought of anything to do. She never didn't have a plan. It was unusual. But she hadn't had time to think of one with everything going on. It was not to dark out yet. Around seven o'clock at the latest - but it remained dark out. Just enough light to see where she was going.
She looked behind her - and suddenly all her functions had been lost. It was Draco's father.
Observation
Introduction to Tom Riddle - Ginny's nightmare. You kind fo get the fact from Ginny's reaction that he has somewhat, a power over her still. This kind of takes you through the journey of Ginny's past a little. And how frightened she could possibly be. It assures you Hemrione made it to the castle, although not unharmed. And, it tells you that Harry and Ron are okay and very alive. If I wanted to kill them, I would've atleast wrote about their deaths. Even though how evil that sounds at the moment, it's true.
