Part 16 - Let Her Cry
No one knows the pain you have inflicted,
Or what you feel within,
But when your ready I'll be waiting here,
And I'll cry with you if you want me to...
Theres nothing you can say
Nothing you can do
Theres nothing in between
You know the truth
Nothing left to face
Theres nothing left to lose
Nothing takes your place
When they say
Youre not that strong
Youre not that weak
Its not your fault
And when you climb up to your hill
Up to your place
I hope youre well
Theres nothing left to prove
Theres nothing I wont do
Theres nothing like the pain I feel for you
Nothing left to hide
Nothing left to feel
I am always here
When they say
Youre not that strong
Youre not that weak
Its not your fault
And when you climb up to your hill
Up to your place
I hope youre well
Blood rose in his throat. He coughed constantly, feeling the warm blood spit out of his mouth.
"It's not working!" Hermione yelled, trying to hold Oliver's face still so Madam Pomfrey could get the medicine in. He had been bleeding from his mouth for a few minutes now. They couldn't make him swallow anything, and he sounded as if he was choking. He didn't seem numb anymore, and he had started moving around in his bed to get away from Hermione's grasp on his face. He had been acting hysterical as if he was in a mental institution and Hermione had just about lost hope of Oliver surviving. He refused to take the medicine Madam Pomfrey gave him for some reason. His body twitched at its taste and then he started acting as if delirious. His body trembled badly as if he was having a heartattack, but Madam Pomfrey assured Hermione this was just a complication - it would pass.
It didn't seem to pass at this moment. Oliver had turned from purple to pale - shaking violently and bleeding. He stopped shaking slowly, and started taking long breaths, getting oxygen into his body again. Madam Pomfrey gave him water to wash done the medication and blood that had filled in his mouth.
Madam Pomfrey said it was very bad - very bad, indeed. But Hermione hadn't thought it to be this bad. She had started to feel nauseus herself at the sight of Oliver. He soon stopped bleeding and he sat on the bed quietly. He didn't speak - or even look at Hermione. Hermione didn't think he knew where he was. And just left him alone for awhile so he wouldn't start shaking once again.
She could see he was in a great deal of pain. His face had turned red now, and it looked as if he might be crying. The bloody hands from his nails digging into it had quickly healed - and his hands looked much better although not to well. Hermione looked down at her feet. She didn't now what to say to Oliver. Nothing could possibly help him in anyway that was spoken.
She made sure every once in a while that he was breathing. Although just the sound of his gasps and long, hard breaths assured her he still had a pulse. She was afraid for Oliver - and Harry and Ron - and Ginny.
Hermione jumped out of her seat, checking her watch. It was 6:00 PM. She gasped. Harry and Ron! She was supposed to get Harry and Ron. But Oliver...
"Oliver..." she walked to his bed, "Oliver..." she asked questioningly.
He looked over at her, awaiting her to speak again.
"I need to leave - I promise I'll be back. Just stay here and I'll send someone to help you, okay, to take care of you." Hermione couldn't help but feel guilty to leave him but if she didn't leave, Ron and Harry couldn't get back.
Ginny and Draco looked all around them. They were surrounded. They didn't have a choice. The choice was die or die. Ginny looked at Draco.
"Okay," Draco whispered, "We go straight right to my dad - theres stairs on the left side - You run down there fast, and I'll distract them."
"Are you sure?"
"They obviously want me. Right?" he said.
"I... I don't know."
"When I nod to you - run."
Draco looked back and front, and then quickly nodded to Ginny and they ran straight past the deatheaters and Lucuis - Ginny moved over left about to turn. Draco shouted at her 'no!' seeing it was a trap all along but Ginny was gone. He ran to his left quickly - his father grabbing him before he could get her.
"Draco." Lucius sneered at his son, and Draco looked down at the black hole. Then back at his father.
Ginny fell quickly down the hole. She could've sworn hearing Draco yell as she went to the left. She landed abruptly, banging her head on stone. She felt blood come from inside her mouth, and she quickly swallowed it, and tried to get to her feet. It was dark - very dark. She couldn't see anything - she couldn't see what was up from the hole. She wiped at her face, feeling as though she had to cry at this point. She fell to the ground and sobbed - there was nothing else to do. She thought it dumb and uncharacteristic to cry - she had to find a way out. But she couldn't help it.
Harry was dead - Ron was dead - her brother was dead - Hermione was probably dead, along with Oliver. And she was next - and Draco was going to die, too. Her whole life was gone. She longed to see her mother one last time. Just once. To see Ron, and Harry, Hermione, her family.
But what came as a surprised to her was she longed to see Draco Malfoy. Draco Malfoy. She wanted to see him so bad... she couldn't stop what she wanted, she couldn't anymore.
It hurt to think of how she had hurt Ron when he went to the forest - and how she embarrased Hermione and Harry, how she had called her brothers names and had fights with her mother and father occasionally. She was sorry. She just wanted to see them - she'd take it all back if she could.
She'd take everything back. Just to see him, to see her family, to see her friends.
And she cried. She cried for all the mistakes, the fights, everything she had done. And most of all, she cried for what she lost, for what she was going to loose. What she didn't want to loose. She cried for what, for who, she loved.
Observation
CRASH! This is basically a Draco and Ginny focused chapter, again. "He ran to his left quickly - his father grabbing him before he could get her." So, you know Draco would've went with her, which usually gives you the idea Draco is not in on anything. You kind of notice Ginny's attitude now. At the beginning, she'd do anything to get away... and now she'll do anything to get back. And... no, not all because of Draco. It's because of everything she went through. This chapter kind of reveals the change in Ginny since the 1st chapter.
