Part 13 - Love Sprung from Hate
She looked over, gasping, and saw her wand next to his feet.
"Draco!" she ran over to him, and hugged him tightly, glad she wasn't alone.
"Are you okay? What happened?" Ginny had so may questions going through her head, her hands tightly held onto Draco's wrists.
Draco had a painful expression on his face, and Ginny suddenly stopped asking. She put on a worried face, she turned pale, and began to look as if she had just been visited by her own ghost.
She knew something was really wrong.
"Look... where are we?" she steadied herself as Draco sat on the ground.
He looked up at her, with not a smirk nor sneer, but a plain face. Ginny couldn't read his expressions as easily as before. She knew he wanted to hide something from her.
"Draco, talk to me!" she became irritable, Draco looking up at her. "What's happening?"
"It's Voldemort." he said.
"It was the ring all along! I'm sure of it! Draco's father... he was in contact with the dark lord! He set aside those rings for Draco to find!"
"He couldn't... I mean, that would mean saving Draco!"
"That's the point... his father didn't curse him - the only reason he gave his son the rings was to-" Hermione thought for a second, contemplating the reason.
"Was to what?" Ron asked.
"Was to lead Harry there..."
"It's the only possible reason! It all fits... Draco and Ginny are their bait! Their bait to get to Harry. I don't think they meant Draco to go though..."
"That doesn't make sense, Hermione. Think about it. Why would I ever go for Draco? I mean, Ginny is another story but they couldn't know Ginny and Draco were going to become close."
"Yes they did! There's magical spells and tools to see the future - or manipulate the future. They could've set this up themselves!"
"No, Hermione, I refuse to believe that. It's to simple. Or it's to wierd."
"Look, she could have a point. But even if they are the bait, what the hell will happen to them if we don't try to save them?"
"So we're going?"
"Yeah." Oliver answered.
"Voldemort?!" Ginny screamed, "Voldemort! Why would Voldemort want us?"
Ginny paced around the room inpatiently.
She let out a screech, and kept walking. Draco sat in the corner watching Ginny.
"Are you going to walk around like that all day?" Draco seemed annoyed that Ginny kept moving around, it had started making him so dizzy he felt nauseus.
"Are you going to sit there all day? We should do something! We have to do something," she explained, crossing her arms, still pacing.
"What are we going to do? There's no way out, this is my father and Voldemort, I mean, what, are we just going to walk right out of here?"
"You're being sarcastic, and not to mention snotty, and it is not helping, Draco!" she stared at him longingly, a sarcastic expression across her face, along with a smile from a day ago replaced with a frown, and her colorful face, with her red cheeks had dissapeared into a pale white face as if she was a ghost.
"You know, we could atleast try."
"And then when they catch us they'll decide to torture us even more."
"Look, Draco Malfoy, I don't feel like arguing with you right at this minute, but look, see, some of us have what we call friends and an actual unscrewed up family to go home too. Therefore, lets figure out a way to get out of here." Ginny stopped, not showing any remorse for what she just said to Draco. She was frustrated to the ending point. She needed to get out.
Draco looked up at her, a sneer rising on his face as he watched Ginny. He suddenly felt the evil in him rising. He hated Ginny Weasley. He hated the trio. Why the hell was he here? All because of them. Bloody hell... he hated them. He loathed them. He had been taught to hurt them. And he should've went with it. Why didn't he? Because of her? The girl who just rudely commented on his family, even though they were as screwed up as she said them to be? The girl who hates his guts? That girl is not his, that girl is playing with him. That girl, Weasley. That girl, he knew, that girl would cause him trouble. Then why did he kiss her? He hated Ginny Weasley. He hated her.
Observation
Okay, Hermione is confusing the viewers out there, isn't she? She was actually right though, except she made it so confusing! But, at the end it will explain, as well as my full summary on the story will totally and completely explain. Ginny becomes a little hysterical, as you may have noticed and you can see she's totally taking it out on Draco. At the end, you kind of are tested to make a choice which side Draco is going to be on. You kind of see him get a little rage in him again. The fact was, I wanted a Draco like that. A Draco who didn't drop everything for a girl he 'loved so much!!!' I didn't want to make the story full of love and beauty, but darkness, and loathe, and even death and pain. I didn't want to be clique of D/G. It wouldn't have worked with the story line or anything else. "That girl is not his, that girl is playing with him." If you look through to the beginning of chapter 12 after reading that you'll read the song lyrics - "Too scared to lose the one,
I tried so hard far /
Too scared to lose the one,
I never had" -- It tends to not be in this chapter, but the song was foreshadowing for this chapter.
