Part 11 - Disturbingly Sour
Time, why must it fly so slow
Waiting, is something that's easy for you
Pull the plug, send it down the drain
Pain is easy to get used to
What's in me, is in you
What's got me, has got you
And everything told, must come true
Pretending to be real, forgetting who you are
Sin, is always at my door
Slice the vein, blood spilled on the floor
Light shining in my eyes
Death greets me with a smile
Pain
So much pain
Pain
So much pain
"Harry, do you think Hermione would go to the dance with me?" Ron looked up near the firplace.
"Well, I guess. Why wouldn't she?"
"I'm just not sure if she really likes me or she just kissed me to stop me from going any further."
"What do you think it is?"
"Well, I'm not sure. I mean, this is Hermione. You can't read her expressions well."
"Can we talk about this later Ron," Harry asked, standing up and walking to his room, "I'm getting tired."
"Sure." Ron sighed, standing up and walking with Harry up to the rooms.
Hermione gazed at the wall, wondering when Ginny was coming back. She had been gone for atleast 10 minutes now, and Hermione wasn't a very patient person.
She sighed to herself, thinking about what she was going to wear for the dance tommorrow night. Hermione had already made the decision a week before that she wasn't going to go to a stupid dance with all those stupid happy couples because they had something she couldn't have. But ever since she had kissed Ron it had given her a confidence to go, with Ron of course, Hermione could be one of those happy couples.
She looked down on Ginny's bed, listening quietly to the noise of the cd player laying on it. Hermione took the headphones and put them over her head. A loud rock song was playing, but Hermione didn't seem disturbed by the loud sound when she first put them on, although it woke her up more than she needed to be woken up.
She put them back down on Ginny's bed, and then stood up, her ears still hurting from the headphones.
"Draco!" Ginny yelled, stopping short as she saw two faces staring back at her. She stopped right in front of Draco, even though she didn't mean to.
There wasn't much of a sneer on his face as usual, but it wasn't as invisible for Ginny not to notice. She looked at Lucius, his face stern and strict, looking as if he hated her so much he would strangle her if she moved again.
"Umm... Draco..." Ginny was speechless, she hadn't planned what to say to keep him from leaving. She suddenly felt guilt rushing into her from giving him the green ring, she hadn't wanted to control Draco at all, she just wanted to protect him... keep him safe.
Draco grinned at her, as if he was expecting to see her again before he left. His smirk quickly turned into a full sneer - the one he had always given her while teasing her because of her family. She had grown fond of the sneer on Draco's face, because, even though she didn't want to admit it, it fit him well.
"Yes?" he said, anticipating Ginny to attempt to stop him from leaving.
"Your leaving?" Ginny said it as if not a question, and tried not to frown, tried not to show Draco she was sad he had to go so soon.
"Yeah, so?"
"Well, I mean..." Ginny started, "we only have three months left at Hogwarts, why would you leave?"
Lucius smirked at Ginny before saying, "We must go, Draco."
Lucius started walking, Draco still looking Ginny in the eye.
"You can't go..." she whispered.
"I'm sorry." he said, and he started walking himself. Ginny followed him.
"Draco, please... why are you leaving?" she pleaded.
"Ginny, just get out of my way."
Ginny stopped, "What the bloody hell did you just say?"
"I said let me go." he said even more evil the before.
"Look, you go with your father and you die." she whispered.
"Why would you ever care anyway?"
She kissed him, once again she felt her stomach turn, her hands placing themselves around Draco's neck.
She pushed herself away, looking at him.
"Draco!" Lucius said, "Come on!" Lucius had not seen the kiss, but was getting mad Draco would even think of associating with poor witches or wizards, had he raised his son so poorly?
"No." Draco said, a normal voice.
"What?"
"I said no. I want to stay here."
"You are not-"
"Let me stay." Draco looked up at his father.
Hermione walked down to the Gryffindor common room, expecting to see Harry and Ron chatting about the dance, but once she had gotten down to the common room, no one was there.
Hermione flopped herself down on the couch. Why now does everyone decide to sleep? she thought.
"I am not letting you stay, Draco," Lucius's voice rang out with anger, that made Ginny flinch as he said it to his son.
"Now, come." Lucius looked at Ginny again, this time more with a sneer on his face like Draco did. Except, when Lucius did the sneer he looked even more evil then Draco did, and this gave her a chill down her spine. Draco looked back at Ginny.
"Sorry." he said, hardly apologetic. And he followed his father. Was this it? Ginny thought. Just like that??
Ginny looked down at her ring. She could control Draco's every move. She could keep him here.
"Loso snatum..." she whispered, not noticing words had come out of her mouth. The ring glowed brightly, Ginny still staring at it.
Lucius looked back at her, seeing the ring glow. The glowing was so bright it filled the whole corridor with light. Draco looked back at her, confused. He didn't know what she was doing, but it didn't look to safe.
Observation
And the mystery keeps on coming. This is basically the last chapter before the action and angst. In the next chapter, it's basically a whole different setting and a similar, but different story line. This is the chapter before the big fun *as I like to call it* I wasn't prepared to have Draco leave, because, if I had I seriously would've been made at myself because I wouldn't do good in a fanfiction with Draco home, and I wouldn't know where to go. There was a little foreshadowing with the ring - since Ginny said she could control the green one, so you had to know something would happen. This is also the first chapter to kind of show a little of how Hemrione is feeling now, which I thought was good because Hermione and Harry haven't been including in the story too much, but I wanted them to be.
