On February 3rd and 4th 2001, the Nunda Fire Deparment hosted live residential structure fire training in an acquired house on Ames Road. Fire attack, search, overhaul, and ventilation were the primary operations practiced throughout multiple evolutions, during the two days. In addition this was a great opportunity for us to try out two different thermal imaging cameras we are considering purchasing. Other participating departments included: Crystal Lake, Wauconda, Cary and Fox River Grove. The following weekend, the house and a barn were burned down by our deparment. |
