crapsalad is a distro of sorts from the philippines that release bootleg videos of local diy/underground gigs. we release them as video cds [vcd] in ntsc format. we're also interested in acquiring other gig videos from our asian neighbors or from anywhere, that we can distro locally. we feature mostly diy/underground bands who are into punk, hc, grind, crust, ska, oi, emo, and the likes. we don't sell our stuff for more than 100 pesos so it'll be more accessible. this is totally diy... take footage of the gig > edit it on the pc > burn it on cdr > make covers. that's basically the whole process. you can get the videos direct or by mail. funds come from our own pockets, and from the vcds sold.

the main reason for doing this is to share the videos so people who weren't on the show can watch it right at the comforts of their homes. why vcd? cuz it's there, the resources are available to us. so why the hell not? besides it's easier to reproduce. copies will always be available as long as anybody is interested in getting one. if you want it in vhs format, then get the vcd and copy the video on tape. i personally wouldn't do it cuz it takes too much time.
