Chapter 19
�I guess we just have rotten timing.� She said softly. The knocking continued. She pulled away from him to answer the door but he just pulled her back to him by her waist.
�Don�t get it.� he said as he wrapped his arms around her form behind. She leaned back against him.
�I have to. Besides, if I don�t whoever�s at the door will just burst in her anyway. She said as she turned in his arms to face him. He pulled her body closer to his. The knocking continued still.
�So? Just let them.� He said as he tried to kiss her again.� She just giggled and pushed him away.
�No Justin, stop.� She said and pushed him down on the bed, laughing.
�You think that�s funny huh.� He said as he got up and chased after her. She screamed and headed towards the door. Forgetting about the person at the door, she flung it open and ran right passed them, quickly followed by Justin.
�What the�� Mark and Mike said in unison. They both smiled as they saw their parents run down the hall back down the stairs. They looked at each other.
�Looks like we did it.� Mike said. Mark shook his head.
�No�I feel there�s something that still needs to be done.�
-Downstairs-
�Look at those two.� Lance said pointing at Justin and Britney in the corner, whispering things into each other�s ear.
�What about them?� Chris asked.
�It�s as if they never broke up.� Lance continued.
�So? Is that such a bad thing?�
�No, I guess it�s not.� Lance said as they continued to watch their two friends. Britney left to go to the bathroom and Justin waited in the corner. JC noticed that he was finally alone and approached him.
�Hey man.�
�Hey, enjoying the party?�
�Yeah, it�s great. What about you?�
Justin nodded his head as he took a sip of his drink.
�Um�J, what�s up between you and Brit?�
An ear to ear smile appeared on Justin�s face. Just the mention of her name made him smile.
�What are you talking about?� he asked as he glanced over JC�s shoulder and spotted Britney talking to some friends. She looked at him and their eyes locked. She winked at him and smiled as she continued to talk.
�J.� JC said as he waved a hand in front of his face.
�Huh? Yeah.�
�What happened to Ashley?�
Justin chuckled. �Things didn�t work out.�
�What do you mean?�
�She cheated on me, but I guess that it was a good thing she did.� He said as he saw Britney coming towards them.
�Oh I�m sorry.� JC said.
�It�s ok.� He responed.
�Hey JC,� Britney said a bit uncomfortably as she met up with them.
�Brit.� He nodded and gave her a hug. �Well I�m going to go and chill out for a while. I�ll see you two later.� He said and started to walk away.
As he did, Justin caught on to the longing in his eyes as he stared at Britney. Confused, he shook his head and rid of the thought. Britney noticed he had gotten quiet once she got there. She looked at his face and saw he was deep in thought. She moved in front of him and lifted his chin with her hand.
�Penny for your thoughts.� She wrapped her arms around his neck. He smiled and pulled her close to him.
�Nickel for your kisses.� He said as he leaned down and kissed her softly. They remained that way for the rest of the night. Cuddling, kissing, anything a normal couple would do. Both happy things were looking up.
