Quick and easy html tips!

Some people still can't quite figure out how to use my site- here you go.

1. To put a graphic on a webpage:

So, let's say you've found a great graphic that would be just perfect- right click the graphic, click save as, and save your find to your own files.

For the sake of make believe, the graphic is entitled imagename.jpg.

You type:  <img src="imagename.jpg">

That's how easy it is.  You can even center the graphic on your site by putting <center> before the img et cetera.

2. To link back to me!

<a href="http://www.geocities.com/crannnberry/">The greatest site ever!</a>

What if you have one of my nifty logos and want to use it to link back to me?

Easy!

Let's pretend the logo is called imagename.jpg.

<a href="http://www.geocities.com/crannnberry/"><img src="imagename.jpg"></a>

You just put the image name instead of words!

Easy, hmm?  The </a> is very important- if it is not at the end, the link will continue.

What if there is a border on a graphic when you add the hyperlink?  Easy to fix.

<a href="http://www.geocities.com/crannnberry/"><img src="imagename.jpg" border="0"></a>

Other things:  In case you haven't realized, my site provides free graphics as long as you link back to me.  These graphic sets, none of the buttons go anywhere.  Someone told me they couldn't get into my poetry section.  I don't have a poetry section.  The poetry buttons, family buttons, etc, are for -you- to use on your website!  :)
