THE JONES FAMILY

These pictures are only a few that I have, but I am going to be adding more at a certain date.
 

 

Benjamin Franklin Jones the son of Bland Ballard Jones and Sarah Layton. Benjamin was born June 28, 1847 in Kokomo, Indiana. He married Charity Wright the daughter of John Prior Wright and Hepseba Coate October 1, 1868 in Howard Co., Indiana. Benjamin and Charity had seven children before moving to Oregon. Benjamin died April 30, 1928 in Portland, Oregon.

Charity Wright married Benjamin Franklin Jones and had seven children. She was born May 24, 1847 in Howard Co., Indiana and died April 25, 1935 in Portland, Oregon. Charity was a very liked woman in Oregon.

Hepsie Jones. Hepsie was the daughter of Charity and Benjamin Jones. She was born November 18, 1880 in Howard Co., Indiana. She married Stephen Fisher September 17, 1899. They had three children. One of which is Ben Fisher seen above as baby. Ben was born June 27, 1900 in Oregon.

Effie Shankland Jones (wife of Frank W. Jones), Clude Mervil Jones, Rose Smith Brown (daughter of Maud E Jones and Samuel George Smith), Frank W. Jones, and Jewel Smith Murphy (daughter of Maud and George).

           

   

Maud Jones Smith. Maud was born April 1, 1878 in Kokomo, Howard Co., Indiana. She married George Samuel Smith July 26, 1896. George is next to Maud. He was born 1874 in Howard Co., Indiana. They had eight children. Five are seen above. From left to right is Lucy Smith, Clarence Smith, Bessie Smith, Steve F. Smith, and Effie Smith. Maud died June 11, 1969 in Wichita, Kansas. She is buried in Greenwood Cemetery next to her son Steve and daughter Lucy.
