| The Pa Elks State Association held the 2008 State basketball free throw Championship on March 8 in State College Pa. Of over 100,000 children that entered the contest this year the field was narrowed to 60 - ten in each group. Of this select group of District winners only the six first place winners will advance to the regional shoot March 29 in Wilksboro Pa. In the six contests two were won by Cranberry residents and #2249 local champions. TWO WINNERS FROM 1 LODGE ! Both are great shooters and terrfic kids. They are Abbey Valentine who won the girls 8-9 year old division and Jacob Brooks winner of the boys 10 - 11 year old division. Good luck to both kids at the Regional contest. Then its on to the Nationals! |
