Tyler Talks Back

(Allen wrote a song to his dog,
Tyler telling him how miserable he thought
a dogs life must be. This was
Tylers song in response)
All Gods creatures got a bit of pain,
mine today is a bit of rain,
but I still can say from my point of view,
id rather be a dog than a dude like you.
i can sleep all day, nobody bothers me,
i get my meals absolutely free,
no boss tells me what i got to do
id rather be a dog than a dude like you.
(Cause your life is ruff, ruff, ruff.)
Never had to take a spelling test,
never got hassled by the IRS,
from what ive seen, your lifes a zoo,
id rather be a mutt than a man like you.
You work each day from 8 to 5,
and wait for Friday to arrive,
you geniuses have got it all wrong,
my weekend lasts all week long,
cause im a dog yall.
i dont have to fuss with suits and ties,
got no mortgage to amortize,
i have no fear i might get sued,
rather be a dog than a dude like you.
So dont pity me when you go inside,
my sun will shine and ill get dried,
this cold dark day i will weather through,
and ill be happy im a dog
and not a dude like you.
On a scale of 1 to 10,
dogs do better than working men,
whats the occasional alley cat,
compared to all those Democrats.
Spend all you money, every dime:
(Remember this is his song...)
i bet the President would like
to be a dog sometimes
You are you, im me, in Gods big plan,
ones a dog, ones a man,
i guess the thing for us to do,
ill be glad im me,
you be glad youre you.
(But id rather be a dog...)
