Leanne grew up in Muskoka, ON. She started babysitting for friends and teachers when she was 13 years old. She has several awards for public speaking and leadership. During secondary school, she assisted with a grade 6 class, and a grade 9 English class. She was a volunteer counsellor in training at Camp Oochigeas, and the year following that, attended Bark Lake Leadership Camp. After working her way up through Girl Guides of Canada, she became a leader of a Sparks group in Glen Orchard, ON for 2 years.
She completed college in Niagara Falls, ON, and continued on to a career in Sales and Marketing. In her spare time, she was an avid volunteer for several organizations in Niagara, including the Canadian Cancer Society, Winter Festival of Lights, and Niagara Film Festival. Leanne's first love was always children, and after having two children of her own, and moving to Prescott, ON, she saw an demand for more quality childcares in the area and made the decision to open Crain's Childcare.
