Interests: Everything, but with stress upon the following: literature, world cultures (especially East Asian, sub-Sahara African, Indian),  Buddhist philosophy, history (especially ancient Middle Eastern, ancient East Asian, World War II), science fiction & fantasy literature, books in general, weightlifting, hiking (when I can find a mountain), website design, stock & mutual fund investing, writing novels, unusual phenomena of all kinds

Travel experience: In the USA: traveled through all northeastern states, most southern states, southern California, traveled across country: Nevada, Arizona, southeastern Utah, Colorado, and everything between Colorado and Virginia.
        International: South Korea (4 years), Japan (1 year), Sri Lanka (2 1/2 years), Scotland, Canada
