August- Welcome back to the 2001-2002 school year. I hope each and every one of you had a wonderful and relaxing summer and is ready to get started with a busy school year. I want to thank all of the students and adults who helped move the middle and high school band room into their new location. We are looking at having a new and better CIMA Booster Group (Craigmont Instrumental Music Association) this year and hope to see you at the monthly meetings. We are one booster group with the middle and high school band and orchestra parents, grandparents or interested adults taking part to support our pre-teen and teenagers in their arts program. August 20^th is a half-day of classes. We hope you will come out and support the band at the weekly football games. Show your child that you support them in their music program. We have booster shirts for sale from small to XXL in red or gray. Ask for pricing and get your shirt while they last.

September- September 3^rd school is out. CIMA Booster meeting scheduled for September 11^th in the high school band room at 7:00 p.m. September 21^st is an In-Service Day (Fair Day for Students)

October- October 9^th CIMA Booster meeting in the middle school band room at 7:00 p.m. October 15^th is a half-day in-service day and a half- day parent/teacher meeting.

November- November 9^th is a half-day teacher planning day. Fruit sale starts November 1^st and ends November 20^th. Money and order forms must be turned in November 20^th. November 13^th CIMA Booster meeting scheduled in the high school orchestra room at 7:00 p.m. All West Orchestra tryouts at Craigmont Middle School with dates to be announced at a later date.

December- Fruit is tentatively scheduled for delivery Friday, December 7^th. Place and time will be announced at a later date. December 11^th CIMA Booster meeting scheduled in the middle school orchestra room at 7:00 p.m. Christmas break is December 24^th thru January 4, 2002. Don’t forget Christmas at Craigmont with date to be announced later.

January- January 8^th CIMA Booster meeting scheduled in the high school band room at 7:00 p.m. January 15^th Cookie Dough Fundraiser sale begins with orders being turned in on January 29^th. Delivery date and place will be announced at a later time. January 14^th school is out. January 21^st school is out. All West Band and Orchestra Senior High Tryouts date and time will be announced at a later date.

February- February 12^th CIMA Booster meeting scheduled in the middle school band room at 7:00 p.m. All West Junior High Tryouts date and time will be announced at a later date. All West Band and Orchestra Concert to be held with more information to be 18^th given out later. February 18^th school is out. U of M honor band concert to be held.

March- March 1^st half day of school. March 12^th CIMA Booster meeting scheduled in the high school orchestra room at 7:00 p.m. All State Concert will be held with more information coming later. March 25^th -29^th Spring break. Concert Band and Orchestra Festivals may be held. More information will be given later.

April- April 9^th CIMA Booster meeting scheduled in the middle school orchestra room at 7:00 p.m.

May- May 14^th CIMA Booster meeting scheduled in the high school band room at 7:00 p.m. when new CIMA officers will be voted on and announced. End of the year band and orchestra banquet will be held. End of the year concert and the Craigmont May Festival. Keep your ears and eye open for more information.
