| Mem was a rescue horse from a charity that rescued cruelty cases. After a little digging into his background I was astounded to come across such an excellent pedigree. His sire is the most famous Akhal-Teke stallion in America and his dam is once again, the broodmare famous for throwing quality foals consistently. When he first came to us he was nevous and fightened and no one could go near him as he would kick and rear up in fear. However, with gentle handling, Mem's real character came out in force. Mem is a gentle, sweet and playful youngster. However, his past experiences have left him quite flighty and he has a tendency to act up in unfamiliar situatuations. Hopefully, this will occur with less regularity as he matures. Mem can run tilll the cows comes home and has a huge wild leap. We are working very slowly with him to eventually teach him to collect and balance himself but we are taking it easy as he still has a lot of growing up to do. He is impatient and finds it hard to concentrate for any longer than 10 minutes so progress is slow but he is very young so there is still time. Hopefully, Mem will do us proud as a champion eventer and hold up as a wonderful example of this amazing breed. | ||||||||||
