Westside has an impressive and impeccable progeny.  His sire is a direct descendant of Gelishikli, the founder of the Gelishikli line of Akhal-Tekes.  Gelishikli was awarded Elite status in 1962 and was awarded Champion of breed in 1964, a full five years before his brother Fakirpelvan was to earn the same accolade.  The line was founded to encourage the 'sportive qualities' of Akhal-Tekes.  They were primarily used for racing and Gelishikli was the first stud to be used to sire horses to be aimed towards Olympic events such as eventing.  Although not a spectacular racehorse, Gelishikli was known for excellent gaits which leant themselves to more classical forms of equitation.  The descendants of this amazing stallion are known for their superb temperements, fluid movements and the 'hooded eye' so prized in the Akhal-Teke. 
Westside's dam in the daughter of Accondy, a premium Throughbred stallion out of Sadler's Wells.  Accondy is has an extremely impressive show record including notably the Henry Tudor Challenge Cup and Supreme Champion at the Royal Dublin Horse Show.  He is also the only Thoroughbred stallion to be awarded suitable for breeding by the Great Britain Hanoverian Association.  Westside has definitely inherited the best of both his sire and dam.  He has outstanding athletic movement, superb elevation, elgance, quality and preserve.  He is extremely well-tempered and very willing to please.  Westside is definitely a champion in the making and we cannot wait to show off the true potential of this amazing young stallion
