I assume that the majority of people visiting this website are family and friends, however for the visitor who has arrived at this page from a search engine, the following is a brief summary of who I am, and the purpose of this web site.
My name is Craig Walker. I am originally from Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom, and grew up in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. I have recently completed my Master of (Urban) Planning degree at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. As graduation approached, I was offered a position as a Transportation Planner with a multi-disciplinary project management firm, Cansult, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The purpose of this web site is primarily to provide family and friends with personal thoughts on life in Dubai, photographs of my travels, and other general updates. In addition, I hope to provide some insight for travelers wishing to visit Dubai - including family and friends, who are welcome any time! Come on over! We'll go bowling with barrels of oil out in the desert...knocking over bars of gold at the bottom of the sand dune, ride on camels hunting for Osama Bin Laden, get re-acquainted with Canada at the world's largest in-door ski slope, and much more!
