Auchnashellach Weekend 29/30 April 2006
Staying in Gerry�s hostel at Craig. A place with character�
Spent Friday evening acclimatising to the world of Gerry. A few beers, wines and several trips up to the road for the lone smoker (no smoking inside or out!). Woke Saturday morning to clear skies, warm sunshine and an overcrowded kitchen. The group split with one lot heading west to climb Sgorr Ruadh from Auchnashellach (including a couple of anglers heading for the lochs), the others went east to climb Moruisg and Sgurr nan Ceannaichean. A great day was had by all; the superb weather, unexpected amounts of snow and panoramic views adding to the day. The following morning was home time for most, with a small party of intrepid souls heading up Fionn Bheinn from Auchnasheen. A great weekend had by all. The linoleum surrounding the shower/bath and the ladies having to access their rooms via the blokes room made this an experience we won't forget... |
