| Ash Ketchum is a young pokemon trainer from Palet Town. Professor Samuel Oak give him Pikachu, his very first pokemon. On their journeys through Kanto, Johto, and the Orange Islands, they have met many friends, learned many lessons, and developed their friendship. Ash is very headstrong and rushes into things all the time. So far in his pokemon training career, he has had twenty five of the two hundred and fifty one pokemon. At present, he has eleven diferent pokemon. |

| Misty |

| Misty is a hot-headed young girl, about the same age as Ash. She has a very short temper and is always fighting with Ash, though she seems to like him sometimes. She has eight different pokemon, but some of them were left with her sisters in Cerulean City. Misty is one of four girls who all run the Cerulean City Gym. The Gym hardly ever has any chalengers, so it has been transformed into a water ballet theatre. Misty was the one who Togepi first saw so she has a cute little baby pokemon to join the journey. |
