German or French?

It is very difficult to make a statement to say if the Sonntag family is either German or French. Throughout the Centuries the land had changed hand many times. There where many Battles and much blood lost over the Region. Yes, the name is German. Sonntag in German means Sunday.

When France and Germany ended splitting the region, many people from Alsace immigrated to other parts of the world. Some to Algeria, United States, Holland, England.  Others stayed in France and Germany.

What is nice to say is;  it does not matter if I am French or German, English or Dutch. As an a American I can say my roots came from Europe.  I will always be an American,  but my Heritage I will never forget.
