Craig Philip Price, Bass-Baritone

Bass-Baritone Craig Price, a native of South Carolina, has established a reputation for fine performances in musical theater, opera, art song, and oratorio. Having begun his performance studies at the South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities, Mr. Price went on to receive a Bachelor’s of Music degree in Voice Performance from Furman University in Greenville, SC. At Furman, Mr. Price frequently appeared on stage with the Furman Opera Theater, and was often seen as a soloist with the Furman Oratorio Chorus and Furman Symphony Orchestra as well.

Mr. Price has been a finalist in the NATS Vocal Competitions a number of times, where he has been praised for his “wonderful vocal timbre, and lovely sound.” These qualities led to him winning his category at both the South Carolina District Competition and the Mid-Atlantic Regional Competition in 2002.

As a scholarship recipient and student of Neil Rosenshein, Mr. Price is currently pursuing a Masters of Music Degree in voice at the Manhattan School of Music, which he anticipates completing in spring of 2006.
