Let Us Rejoice

c.d.s. 1993

Let us rejoice and give thanks unto the Lord
Let our voices loud in heav'n be ringing.
For our Lord and Father who from heaven,
Blessings in abundance now is bringing.

He sent his son our Saviour to redeem us,
To elevate us from this world of sin.
So we invite into our hearts and ask him:
"Dear Father make thy dwelling, Lord come in."

THE DEAR DEPARTED

CDS:04-Nov-1998

A captive in the land of the unseen,

He realised, then, what had been told him.

How man may try to live his life clean

But be completely covered in sin.

But far away in the land he had conquered:

He saw a small shining light.

It was a sign of hope for him

Yet, how to get to that light so bright?

He's fellow citizens did tell him about a "bridge"

For all whose souls are yearning,

Which is lit up through prayers of the faithful,

Dear sister is your beacon light burning?

Peer Pressure

27-Mar-1988

Let me be the one to decide my life

Let me be the one to attain what I love

Amongst the people of this world confusion is rife

So I govern my life according to the "One Above."

If others should decide the things I do

Then "real friends" I'd have, would be so few

For then I wouldn't have to be in any of life's quarrels

Because I would have no principals or morals.

Heavenly Father

Craig D Smith - 1992

Our dear heavenly Father, grant peace and grace today;
Refreshment from Thine altar, within our souls do lay.
We want to overcome, the lust for earthly things
So that we desire more, for the bread that Thy Spirit brings.

Make us always alert, that this blessing we do not lose;
But allow Thine hand of grace, to mould us as Thou should choose.

We strive from day to day, like Jesus Christ to be;
So at the marriage of the Lamb, we will our Saviour see.

Purpose

10-Nov-1988

Is it valid what you shewed me

That life is not what meets the eye.

It was said "To be or not to be"

But what happens in eternity.

We toil and labour every day

Trying to find another way

But while upon the earth we stay,

Let us speak out loud, what we have to say.

My life unfolds before my eyes

And I see what words were filled with lies.

I see how fluently the eagle flies

But shall we e'er soar above the skies.

Let No Man Despise Your Youth

first stanza from 1 Timothy 4:12

Let no man despise your youth;

But be an example of the believers ,

In word, in conversation, in charity,

In spirit, in faith, in purity.

Remain in the first love of which you were shown

And know that with God you are never alone.

Lift up your heads and keep your eyes on the goal

While our Father completes his work on your soul.

Don't let satan convince you into dispute,

But give to the Master the best of your youth.

Let your mouths speak to men the Gospel of Truth,

Let no man despise your youth.

Wonder of Creations

                        09 March 2001

When I see the wonder of the Creation;

I tremble to think of a Creator so Great.

When I perceive the endless Patience

Of my Lord; His Grace I cannot rate.

When I am lonely and grieved;

I know He Loves the Disconsolate.

When I consider the Promise He made;

For the new Kingdom, I cannot wait.
