The Left's Lies Abound
Posted 2/14/01

The left would like you to believe that their beliefs are the mainstream and opposing views are radical. This lie is perpetrated from every direction; Democrats, media elite, Hollywood, scholars and moderate Republicans. They want everyone to believe that religious people are on the fringe of society. Conservative Christians should be feared as much as the Taliban in Afghanistan.

Unfortunately, their hatred doesn't stop at religious persecution. Anyone who thinks the government doesn't do the best job possible is targeted. The propaganda is spewing forth about school vouchers. We are told that government schools are doing a great job, but the nation's IQ slips lower. No one is foolish enough to suggest that every school is failing, but only a bigger fool would say there is no room for improvement. Competition is the only thing that causes improvement. Letting people choose which school to send their children will force all schools to become better. When the better schools benefit with more money, while other schools know they have to work to get students. It's not the school's right to have the local kids forced to attend them. Where is the freedom of choice? If a school is failing, why should we condemn a generation of children to that school? Is the modern version of being born on the wrong side of the tracks? The liberals follow what the teachers union wants and the children can go to hell.

The liberal lie is just beginning at this point. When a school redeems its vouchers it will receive compensation.  Parents will send their children to the schools that offer the best opportunities.  The liberals can't handle the fact that people will have a choice. They want complete control. If not, why are they diametrically opposed to this. Do they want kids to fail?

We also hear other arguments like, "the government shouldn't be funding private religious schools." As if there will be a rush  by parents to send their kids to these types of places. Aren't the religious people just a fringe element? Why should the Democrats fear people sending their children to religious schools? Their line of logic breaks down here, they can't have it both ways. If the religious are truly a fringe group there should be no fear of vouchers being used at private schools. Unless they are wrong and mainstream America is religious. Maybe if they were given a choice they would send their children to a private religious school. If that is the case, then the liberals are the fringe group imposing their will on the majority.

The truth is the liberals don't want you to have a choice. The more kids in public school the better. This way they can be brought up in the new realm of political correctness, in which the government is above being questioned. If people can send their children to other places that don't use the doctrine then there job of creating a dependent culture will be more difficult. The earlier they can get to individual, the easier it will be to prevent them from becoming an...individual.
