The Battle Against Liberals
Posted on 12/11/00

After the arguments that have been put forth during this election fiasco, I have come to the conclusion that liberals lack ethics. Not just the hierarchy, but the lowly foot soldiers of their socialist cause. Gore and the Florida Supreme Court have proven time and time again that they view the rule of law as a something that applies only when it’s convenient for them. They are the first to proclaim support when it benefits them and the first to tear it down when it’s in their way. We don’t have to look far back to see a good example of this. The true liberals supported Bill Clinton even after he perjured himself in Federal Court. They twisted the truth and convinced a lethargic America into believing it was about sex. The fact is perjury is perjury and even if it’s about a parking ticket it is illegal and usually brings jail time, unless you are a liberal.

So now we face a power-hungry, win-at-all cost Al Gore. He has skirted the Florida and US constitutions in order to achieve his life’s goal. It doesn’t matter how he wins; he just has to win. The end justifies the means - straight from Karl Marx. Gore didn’t win the first count on election night. He didn’t win the machine recount. They changed the rules to manufacture more votes and he still lost. The Florida Supreme Court threw the laws out the window and made up their own rules as to how elections should be held. This not only went against the Florida Constitution, but also was an attack on the US Constitution - which says that the state legislatures (NOT the courts) are in charge of elections. But the liberals have learned how to use the courts to get past laws which they don’t think they should have to follow. We know how the party elite will act...sue until you get the result you want.

What I find disturbing is how the everyday, Joe six-pack liberal is a willing to be an accomplice to the trashing of the Constitution to further their own means. After several heated discussions I have come to the conclusion that all liberals believe everyone is a law-breaking, self-absorbed person. We all commit perjury and we all cheat to achieve victory. When it was pointed out to one of these liberals that some Democratic voters testified, under oath, that they voted a straight Democrat ticket, but did not vote for president, the liberal just blew it off saying, “I’m sure the Republicans found someone to lie for them.” Proof that they believe that we are all perjurers and Clinton just happened to get caught. So when the US Supreme Court rules against the Florida Supreme Court, they view it as another partisan ruling. The typical liberal can’t believe that some people actually put the law first and their opinions after that. To them, everything that happens it partisan. It is becoming painfully clear that liberals cannot see past their bias, so they assume no one else can either.

This is a battle that might not be winnable. It’s not just about who wins elections. It’s about changing the thought process of a group of individuals who don’t believe in anything. They believe the Constitution is a “living” document and therefore the rules can be changed to fit their needs. If the American way of life is to survive, we must bring these people into the thought of absolutes; there is an absolute right and an absolute wrong. We must teach them that facts carry more weight than emotions or feelings. And we must convince them that living by the rule of law benefits everyone.

If we fail to do this society will spiral out of control. Ethics and rules will be enforced when it benefits the group in charge and thrown out when it is more convenient. This is not the type of country I want for my family or myself. I pray that the majority still feels this way.
