Ad-Venturas in
Babysitting
Posted on 7/12/00
For those of you who
think that Jesse Ventura is a breath of fresh air on the political
scene, I think there are some things you need to know. Sure, Jesse can
catch an ear with
his straight forward talking, but that's where is stops. He is all mouth
and no action. He
promises the people of Minnesota a tax and a rebate of the over-collected
taxes that has
occurred for the past several years. What they get is far less than his
mouth promises.
This year Minnesotans are getting less than half of the surplus back. The
tax cut last year
came after Jesse said, "It better not be too big." Breath of
fresh air..? Sounds more like
the same old hot air. He governs solely in his self-interest. If it
affects him, he has a view.
If not, your out of luck. The governor position of Minnesota is being
turned into a place
where Ventura pimps himself. Self-promotion is his only goal. That doesn't
sound like
anything different than any other lifetime politician.
Venturas loyalties lie with the far left. He wouldn't support McCain if he
remained a
Republican, but he readily meets with Al Gore. He has nothing decent to
say about
conservatives or religion.
I'll admit when Jesse first came on the scene, I was swayed by his antics.
Unfortunately,
he has proven to be a thin-skinned, self-loving egomaniac. Anyone who uses
his victory
speech to take a swing at members of the media who weren't thrilled with
him has issues.
Jesse's "me first" mentality is no different than any other
politician. Jesse "the Politician"
has added the same old song and dance to his repertoire.
