| Take a walk down memory lane and step back into the past of Australian aviation history by simply visiting one of several exhibitions. ANSETT MUSEUM Ansett Australia may be well gone but certainly not forgotten. The 'Sir Reginald Ansett Transport Museum' displays memorabilia from almost three quarters of a decade. The only problem is that it is located in regional Victoria which is a little off the beaten path. The museum is situated in the town of Hamilton in Victoria, the birthplace of Ansett. For more information call 03 5571 2440 or go to www.ansett.com.au/museum/museum_f.htm QANTAS HERITAGE COLLECTION Opened to celebrate the airline's 85th birthday, this permanent exhibition displays a collection that illustrates the many changes that have occurred through the years. The Qantas Heritage Collection is situated in Terminal 3 at Sydney airport right near gate 13 For more information, go to www.qantas.com.au/info/about/heritagecollection QANTAS FOUNDERS MUSEUM Located in the original birthplace of the airline in the Queensland outback town of Longreach, this museum features static displays of the history of Qantas. The only difference with this museum is that it also features outdoor aircraft on display including a retired Qantas 747-200. For more information go to www.qfom.com.au ANSETT WEBSITE While the live Ansett website may have ceased operations like the airline itself, the good people at Australian Archives has preserved part of aviation cyber history.
