PROTECTION POUCH

   Here is what you'll need: 
         - white cloth (enough to make a 
           small pouch)
         - 1 white "virgin" candle (a new candle        
           that has not been used)
         - Mistletoe
         - Mugwort
         - Sweetgrass
         - Sage

     Make a small pouch, sew three sides together 
and leave one side open (this is where you will 
stuff the herbs/plants). Chant the following, while 
filling the pouch with the herbs/plants:


       
May the Sacred Divine

Keep safe me and mine

May the Lady of the Moon

Attend my rite in moment's soon

May the Lord of the Sky

Attend my rite in a moment's sigh

May the Watchtowers of the East, South, 
West and North

Attend my rite and let their protective 
powers spill forth

May the Old One's who have gone before

Attend my rite forevermore

Hear my humble plea

I ask for your protection, please send it to me!


    Keep chanting this till the pouch is 
filled the Mistletoe, Mugwort, Sweetgrass and 
Sage.  Once filled, sew the fourth side of the 
pouch shut, while still chanting.  Place the 
pouch on the alter, light the white candle.  
"Smudge" the pouch through protective incense, 
visualize the protection radiating from the pouch.  
Keep chanting until you feel the peek of power and 
release the energies into the universe.  Remember 
to strongly visualize while chanting.  Let the candle 
burn itself out, make sure it is in a safe place and 
won't get tipped over.

    
     Smudge yourself with sage or sweetgrass 
before you go to bed and when you first wake 
up. Smudge each morning and evening. Depending 
on the size of pouch that you made, if it is 
small enough it can be carried on you, in a 
shirt pocket for example.  The pouch can also 
be placed within your vehicle for added 
protection while travelling.  If this pouch 
is made by/for a woman, remember to inform them 
not to carry the pouch if they are on their 
"Moon Time," this is because of the Sweetgrass 
that is within the pouch.  This is due to the 
cleansing process the woman is going through.

To Rid Yourself Of Negativity/ Or To Destroy Something Harmful Or Destructive That Was Sent To You By Someone Else

    Sadly, there are times, when someone tries to 
"send" something harmful to you (to cause pain,
misfortune etc).In such cases, there is a need to 
destroy/neutralize the negativity that was sent to 
cause you harm.  A dear friend, passed the following 
onto me.  I've added a bit of my own in it too.

          You'll need:

          1 Black "virgin" candle
          1 White "virgin" candle
          2 candle holders

    If you are right handed, hold the black candle 
in your right hand.  If you are left handed, hold 
the black candle in your left hand.

    Next, visualize all the negativity/harm/evil  
that was sent to you.  See this leaving you and 
being transferred into the black candle.  When you 
feel all of the negativity/harm/evil has been 
transferred into the black candle, place the candle 
in a candle holder.

     Next, take a shower or bath.  This helps to 
establish the cleansing process.  Then smudge the 
room/area in a clockwise direction.  Ask the Goddess 
& God, the four directions and the Old Ones to assist 
and protect you. (I am not including how to 
specifically call out to these powers, as I feel that 
each person has their own invocations/prayers etc 
and should use what feels best to them).

     Next, burn Frankincense on a charcoal block.  
Annoint the white candle with Sandlewood essential 
oil.  The white candle represents protection and 
purification. Light the white candle, then light the 
black candle.  The flame on the black candle 
represents the harm that was sent to you. 
  
     Let the candles burn down to nothing.  (You 
do not have to constantly watch the candles burn, 
but make sure they are in a safe place and won't 
tip over, a bathtub works well for this).  Once 
the black candle has melted down to nothing and 
the flame has died.  That means the harm/evil/
negativity sent to you has also died. 
 
     Next, wrap the remenents of the black 
candle in white ribbon/cloth and "Bind" it. 
Remember not to actually "Bind" the person(s)
who had sent you the harmful energy.  Instead, 
"bind" the harmful/negative act/energy itself.  
That way no harm will come to those who sent it 
to you.  Let Karma deal with them. Say the 
following:

            I bind you with peace
            I bind you with light
            I bind you with love
            May you bring me no more harm
            So mote it be
 
    Then bury the article in a clean area of 
land, and be sure not to bury it on your property. 
(Remember that "Binding" is somewhat a grey area.  
Do not use binding to manipulate people or to cause 
any harm.  Remember that you are not actually
binding a specific person, rather the negative energy
that was directed to you.  If the binding is done
properly (again, not to bind a person, but the 
negative energy directed at you)I see no harm.  
Remember the Three Fold Law when attempting to 
bind anything, for whatever you do will be returned 
three times back to you. Be Wise!)
