American Flag (EASY) This is a great decoration for the 4th of July.

You will need: 13-14 sticks, hot glue sticks and gun, red and white acyrlic paint, brush, 1and a half inch square of blue construction paper, white gel pen/colored pencil, scissors.

Optional:
White painted star woodsies for some stars.

Instructions:

Paint both sides of 4 sticks red and 3 sticks white, let them dry. Place those sticks up against the straightener with the red-white pattern (shown in picture). Clip two sticks to 2 and 3/4 inches (keep one rounded side if you like). Then glue it to the back, one stick on each side of them. Cut, stencil, draw, or punch out the stars in the blue square of construction paper. When the glue is dry, turn the flag over and glue the blue square of construction paper in the upper right corner. For the handle, or post of the flag, take one stick and clip only the rounded edge off, now take another stick and cut it in half. Use the other half of that stick to glue the sticks together.

Frog (EASY) This Frog is a cute decoration for a room or on the wall.

Optional:
white and black paint to paint the eyes instead.

Line up 11-13 sticks horizontally (rounded edge facing sideways) in the straightener (see tips and techniques for both of these) and use the rectangular box technique (to hold the sticks together/ support)
. When you are done doing this, cut one stick in half. Keep clipping both pieces of the stick until they both reach 1 inch long. Glue onto the sticks  top leaving them about an inch apart. Glue on wobbly eyes. Now take 2 sticks and glue them completely together. Repeat with two other sticks. Glue these to the sides (shown in picture). Cut one more stick in half and glue it sideways to those. Paint it like in picture with darker paints in their spots and lighter in their spots also.
Paper Puzzle (EASY) Make this puzzle as easy or as hard as you wish.

You will need: Thin, old greeting cards, paper designs, or old drawings or paintings, craft glue (that can be used for wood), 6-25 sticks (depending on the size of your picture), utility/craft knife,

Optiona
l: Any Color Acyrilic Paint

Instructions:

If you would like a background color for your picture, paint the sticks any color you wish, and allow them to dry before starting.

Whatever you are using, cut out the main picture part out. See how many sticks you need. Now, make sure the sticks are straight, and put a few pieces of scotch tape on the back horizontally. Apply a thin layer of craft glue to the back of you picture and press it down centered or off to the side, (whatever you like). When the glue is dry (this may take a few hours), carefully remove the tape from the back.

If any sticks were removed, re-attach them with craft glue and allow them to dry.

Now that the glue is dry, flip the sticks over to the back, use the craft knife to cut inbetween the sticks, so that all the sticks are seperated. The harder the picture was the harder the puzzle will be to put together
.
Pencil/Pen Holder (EASY) Keep all of your pens and pencils in this convenient can.

You will need: one tin can, any size (same height as sticks), approx. 20-40 sticks, hot glue sticks and gun.

Optional:
Construction paper, markers, crayons, colored pencils : all to decorate.

Instructions:

Take one tin can the same height as the sticks you're using, and glue them one by one vertically, flat up against the can. You can decorate them if you wish, or just paint them all one color. Either way, have fun!

If they won't stick to your can: (cut some construction paper to the perfect height and attach it to the can using tape or hot glue. Then attach the sticks)
.
Flower (EASY) This pretty flower is perfect for a summer decoration.

You will need: 5 double-sided craft spoons, 1 craft stick, hot glue sticks and gun, at least 2-4 colors of acrylic paint (green, and any other color).

Optiona
l: Markers- to decorate the flower. Make a center for the flower(read below).

Instructions:

Paint both sides of the craft stick anycolor (I used green) you would like. Paint the craft spoons one color or all different colors. You can paint the sticks before or after glueing them together.

Start with one spoon, and overlap the middles into a circle. Don't glue them together until you've figured out the exact way you want the flower and it's petals to look. Now glue the craft stick to the back so it's straight. If you want to take the rounded edge of another stick, slowly turn the stick as you are cutting, and you will have a little circle. You can use that as the middle of the flower. Paint it if you wish and attach it in the cente
