Jane Lynne Martin   Doodlebears
Hi, my name is Jane Lynne Martin. I am married with five grown children, three who are still at home. We all live in Aylesbury which is a Buckinghamshire town around 35 miles south- west of London. I began making bears around eight years ago after buying a magazine from my local library. The magazine had a free bear pattern inside so I thought I would give it a try as I have always loved bears and I thought it would be fun to make one of my own. That was it the bear making bug hit hard in a very big way and that is how Doodlebears were born. My first bear was a little six inch, bright yellow little chap who I called Juan. When I look at Juan now I see something that resembles a squashed mouse but I remember being so happy that I had made my very own bear. Since then I havent looked back and I feel that it is a real privilege to be able to do something I enjoy doing so much every day; I think my favourite bit of bear making is the moment Ive finished stitching each bear's face and I can see them looking back at me. I make bears from six to around twenty-two inches tall, some are bare and some are dressed. Each bear has its own unique character, and is guaranteed to have a smile on its face.
                      Hugs,
                               Jane.
