My tiny teds are usually 2-1/2" or less in size. They are created from my own design and imagination. As I start them they each seem to take on a life and a soul of their own. They always seem to let me know how they want to turn out! When I am crocheting one of my thread animals it almost becomes a form of meditation for me as I get lost in the rhythm of the design and creation. And it never ceases to amaze me how they seem to �come alive� from a single strand of thread or yarn. And just by changing the hook size and the type of thread you use, it can change the way they look each time. The possibilities are endless and this is what makes it so enjoyable!
I have had fun designing my miniature bears and animals in different ways, such as my �Puzzle-Bits � series. These Puzzle-Bits are actual interlocking pieces that you can take apart and put together as many times as you want.
I also have had fun with thread colors and designed my Neon Babies series with fluorescent punch thread. I have also ventured into designing and writing my own patterns. I offer these patterns for sell on my website (www.tedsfromthreads.com) and in my EBay store (seller ID tedsfromthreads). I am planning on writing more patterns as I have time.
One of the hardest things I found since I started making my bears and other animals from thread is in finding all the supplies you need in one convenient location. My frustration is what lead me to put together my website where I have gathered together some basic supplies that are used for making thread animals.
