This gave me confidence to continue making bears, and shortly after, I started designing my own bears. I offer smaller bears, ranging from 5 inches up. However, I mainly make bears that are 6" in size. I find they are the perfect size, big enough to get character into their little faces, but small enough to sit in the palm of your hand. I tend to make bears in natural colours, from golds, to creams and whites to browns. My bears feature a lot of needle sculpting, and shading. They also tend to have large noses and tummys.
The most rewarding part of bear making to me is when the face comes together. It's amazing to think that you made such a little being, with character all of it's own! Sometimes I wonder why I made the bear with such a grumpy look on it's face!!!
I am excited to be part of such a rewarding hobby, and I have made some wonderful friends (through the internet) that are both collectors and artists.
