The shed project started as an embryo about a year ago. We visited websites and real sites, scoping out the best possible option. Bob eventually purchased the plan he wanted and site preparation began in late Spring 2002.

"This shed isn't big enough for a REAL LAWN TRACTOR"
Bob decided he could build a better shed. He searched the internet for the perfect plan.

He got his building permit from the town and commenced building the largest legal-sized shed (16' x 20'). He enlilsted help from the boys and mixed 4 tons of concrete by hand in a wheelbarrow.

We left for vacation the next day, so everything had to be covered in the (rare) event that it might rain. The garage was stacked with lumber & I couldn't wait
for this project to get finished. Jordan was leaving for school leaving Bryan & me as 'able assistants'.

September 2002 - "Measure twice, cut once"
Bob did most of the framing alone, devising ingenious contraptions to hold pieced together while he hammered.  The framing didn't take long, but the wait for the siding took 'forever'. There were 1 or 2 erroneous shipments delivered.
Jordan had already returned to college by the time those triangular pieces were lifted over the door frame. Believe it or not, Bob & I did those alone. It was quite the engineering feat. You can see that both windows & door had been installed on the second picture. We're all waiting for Bob to install an electric door opener on this one!                                                              More shed pictures.......

1
