Way-too-easy Bag
First project
Thanks to: Me!
March 11th 2004
Estimated Project time: Definatley under 1 hour
For this project I usually use 16x16 for part 1 and 3x8 for part 2
What you need
- Fabric ( 1/2 metre is what you need if you use my mesurments)
Note: If you are American you will want 5/8th of a yard
- Matching Thread
- Scissors
- Pins
- Drawstring (optional)
And of course a sewing machine
To make the pattern I usually just make it out of printer paper and take it together. Then it fold it up, and put it in an envelope marked "Bag Pattern" to keep it safe for next time.
- Cut 2 pieces. Pin with right sides together, pin the bottom and sew.
- Now match up the bottom corners and sew them together.
- Hem the top. You can either put a drawstring through there, or make straps with the leftover fabric.
Now you have a fashionable bag! Use you imagination with this project. It makes a great gift for just about anyone!
Email your pictures to me, to display on the website.
I have now gotten a picture of the bag I made with this pattern. Although I put twill fabric around it, to make it more fashinable.

If you are having problems with this project or you do not understand it please email me and I will try to fix it.
