Dishtowel
Size H hook
4 oz Sugar N Cream in Pink
4 oz Sugar N Cream in Pink Varigated Pastels
Row 1: With pink, CH 35, HDC in 2nd CH from hook and in each CH across. CH 2, turn.(CH 2 does NOT count as HDC.)
Row 2: HDC in first HDC and in each HDC across. (34 HDC's.)
Row 3: Pick up the varigated color by pulling a loop through (this counts as first CH) CH 1, turn, HDC in first HDC and in each HDC across. CH 2, turn. Do NOT fasten off pink!
Row 4: Repeat Row #2
Row 5: Pick up the pink color by pulling a loop through, CH 1, turn, HDC in first HDC and in each HDC across. CH 2, turn. Do NOT fasten off varigated color!
Repeat Rows 2-5 for pattern until you have the Dishtowel about the length you want (about 24 rows). Make certain you end with a Row #2 of the pink color.
CH 1, turn. SC in each HDC across.
SC in first SC, SC decrease over next 2 SC's all the way to last SC. SC in last SC. CH 1, turn, continue to SC in first and last SC of each row and SC decreasing over the rest of the SC's until you have a total of 4 SC's.
CH 1, turn, SC in each SC across (4 SC's)
Repeat for 10 rows.
CH 1, turn, SC in first SC, CH 2, skip next 2 SC's, SC in last SC.
CH 1, turn, SC in first SC, SC twice in CH 2 space, SC in last SC.
CH 1, turn, SC in each SC across
Repeat this last row 1 more time. Fasten off.
Make a button and attach to 3rd row of 4 SC's.
Fasten off and weave in all ends.
Button:
CH 4, slip stitch to beginning CH to form a ring.
CH 1, 4 SC's in ring and join to first SC.
CH 1, 2 SC's in each SC around.
CH 1, Decrease over next 2 SC's all the way around.
(You will end with 4 SC's.)
Leave a long tail, weave through loops of last row of 4 SC's and pull tight.
Use long tail to sew onto desired place on towel topper.

Row 2: HDC in first HDC and in each HDC across. (20 HDC's.)
Row 3: Pick up the varigated color by pulling a loop through (this counts as first CH) CH 1, turn, HDC in first HDC and in each HDC across. CH 2, turn. Do NOT fasten off pink!
Row 4: Repeat Row #2
Row 5: Pick up the pink color by pulling a loop through, CH 1, turn, HDC in first HDC and in each HDC across. CH 2, turn. Do NOT fasten off varigated color!
Repeat Rows 2-5 for pattern until you have the Dishcloth about the length you want (about 10 rows total). End with Row # 5.
CH 2, turn, HDC in first HDC and in each HDC across. 3 HDC's in last HDC. Work evenly 2 HDC's in the side of each HDC along the side and repeat this around. Fasten off and weave in ends.
