This is the 2nd poncho I made and I really like it. I like it so much that even though this one is a Christmas gift for my sister, I'm going to make one just like it for me. As you can tell, I like to mix up the yarns that are called for in patterns. I don't know about you, but 15 balls of fun fur I cannot afford for one project so I try to make things nice, but as inexpensive as possible. If you have the extra money, I'd go for the yarn called for as it's much prettier, but if you're counting your pennies like me, then go for the standard ww yarn. As always, I used Red Heart.
Oh, I did modify this pattern slightly. My sister needed a larger size than this called for so I simply kept adding rows until it was the right size. I also added a trim around the neck and didn't do the little drawstrings. I also added a simple fringe to the bottom which I think made it really stand out.
