If your skills are limited in cake decorating, then this is the perfect cake for you to do! It's so easy and almost impossible to mess up!
1 regular cake mix in desired flavor.
Eggs, oil and water as directed on box.
2 Tubs of frosting.
1 small package of Jelly Beans.
Small package of Twizzlers.
Food coloring.
Coconut (optional)
Bake cake as directed on box. Make in 2 8-inch round pans.
After cooling, remove cakes from pans and place on clean countertop or table.
Put first cake in the center of prepared platter.
Take 2nd cake and cut it like this: ) (.
You will have 3 pieces. The 2 outside pieces are used for the ears and the middle piece is for the bow tie. Place the pieces where they go on the platter.
Cover entire cake in white frosting.
Mix small amount of frosting with red food color to make pink.
Take pink frosting and make the pinks of the ears.
Make desired color frosting for bow tie and frost.
Put jelly beans on cake for eyes, nose and dots on the bow tie.
Cut Twizzlers into approx 1 inch strips and place next to nose to form whiskers.
Place coconut around base of bow tie if desired.
