| 1/2 cup sugar 1 Tbs. corn starch 1 cup water 3 cups fresh strawberries 2 Tbs. butter - diced 1 cup all-purpose flour |

| 1 Tbs. sugar 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. grated lemon zest 1/2 tsp. salt 3 Tbs. butter 1/2 cup heavy cream |

| Preheat Dutch oven to 400 degrees - line with foil and spray with oil. In a separate Dutch oven or pot, combine 1/2 cup sugar, cornstarch and water. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thick. Stir in strawberries and remove from heat. Pour mixture into lined Dutch oven. Sift together flour, 1 Tbs. sugar, baking powder, lemon zest, and salt. Blend in butter, then stir in cream. Spoon mix on top of the berry mix. Bake for 25 minutes. |

| 1 cup "old style" sour cream (use 1 cup of whipping cream soured with 2 Tbs. lemon juice 1 cup raisins |

| 1 (18oz) yellow cake mix 1 cup vegetable oil 4 eggs |
1 cup sour cream 1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon 1 3/4 cup chopped pecans |

| Using a 12" Dutch oven at 350 degrees Grease bottom of Dutch oven and preheat to 350 degrees. Combine cake mix, oil, eggs and sour cream in a large bowl, beat for 3 minutes. In another bowl, mix sugar, cinnamon and pecans. Spread half of the batter on the bottom of the Dutch oven, then sprinkle half of the sugar-cinnamon-pecan mixture over the batter. Pour remaining batter over this and then remaining sugar mixture. Bake for 40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. |

| 1 (20 oz.) can of crushed pineapple 3 cups sliced apples 1/2 cup sugar (plus 1/4 cup for later) 2 Tbs. lemon juice |
1 box yellow cake mix 1/2 cup melted butter 1 cup chopped pecans |

| LIne a 12" Dutch oven with foil and coat with oil. Pour crushed pineapple into the bottom of the Dutch oven. Toss together the sliced apples with 1/2 cup of sugar and the lemon juice--then pour on top of the pineapple. Sprinkle dry cake mix over the top of the apple mix. Combine butter, 1/4 cup of sugar and nuts in a small pan and heat until the sugar is dissolved - drizzle over the cake mix. Bake for 20 minutes, then cut across the top of the cake to allow juices to rise. Bake 20-30 minutes longer. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| 2 tsp. vanilla extract 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 2 rounded tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt 1 cup milk |

| 1 16oz or large can of pineapple rings 3-4 Tbs. butter or margarine 3/4 cup packed brown sugar 1/2 cup shortening 2 cups sugar 3 eggs |

| Using a 12" Dutch oven at 350 degrees - line dutch oven with foil and spray with oil - preheat Dutch oven. In a pan, melt butter (or margarine), remove from heat and mix brown sugar in it. Pour into the bottom of the Dutch oven and spread evenly. Place pineapple rings on the sugar in one layer. Mix your batter up by creaming the sugar and shortening together, tehn add eggs--mix well. Add vanilla, then flour, baking powder and salt (add dry ingredients about 1/3 at a time)--add 1/3 cup of milk with each third of dry ingredients. When all mixed, beat well and pour over pinapple-sugar mix. Bake for 45-50 minutes--let set to cool. |
