I am, what your mind perceives me to be - an illusion, a figment of your wild imagination. I appear out of nothingness, from nowhere. I stand before you, shimmering in the moonlight, I call out your name. You approach me, but as you near, I disappear - quickly as I came - back into nothingness, darkness, into the shadows. As my voice fades, you awaken. You awaken to the sound of birds singing, the wind whistling through the trees. And you realise, you realise it was merely a dream - for I no longer exist, I am just a memory now - a distant reminder of what was to be, what could have been....... -Chris Ralph |
