A list of nasty bugs which it took a few days to find the right tool(s) to remove.  Hope it helps other victims alike..

Bug/Virus:           Trojan from ‘http:// www.qqshow-qq.cn/qq.asp’

Date of infection:             July 17, 2008

Solution:              ‘AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition’ by AVG (downloaded through Zdnet.com)

Symptoms:         1) The bug sets IE home page to ‘http://www.qqshow-qq.cn/qq.asp’

2) It opens up an IE window every 30 minutes

Tried several tools (Spyware-Doctor, Ad-Aware, Super-Anti-Spyware).  All of them detected the bug, but none of them was able to remove it (see more details).  Luckily, found and tried out AVG which finally got rid of the bug.
