Captain's Bio and
Vessel Experience
    Captain Buzz is a USCG Licensed Master for vessels up to 100 tons, with Auxillary Sail; RADAR (Unlimited) Navigation; Near Coastal Navigation (to 200 NM); Commericial Towing Endorsements; and Marine Radio Operator Permit (MROP). He is available for power and sail vessel deliveries; commercial towing; charters; parades; tours; sail training; seamanship and boating safety instruction.  He can be contacted through his e-mail address, or mobile phone.
     His previous maritime experience includes: Master for Harbor Cruises excursion vessels Bay Lady, Lady Baltimore, and Prince Charming; Master on the authentic paddlewheel excursion vessel Black-Eyed Susan; Captain for Baltimore Water Taxis; relief captiain on Clipper City, 99 ton Top Sail Schooner in Baltimore Harbor.  He was a Tug Captain for McLean Contracting, on the Chesapeake Bay. In St. Augustine, he was Master for Ancient City Riverboats; Jean Mary and Sara Grace. The Jean Mary was recently sold to Debbie Reynolds.
     In Port Canaveral he owned and operated Schooner Sails, Inc. and was Owner and Master of The Wanderer, a 60' wooden tall ship from June 2004 through October 2005.  He owned and operated Nichols Maritime Services, LLC until April of 2008.
     Capt. Buzz currently resides in St. Augustine, FL with his wife Ardi. In January 2009 he started as relief captain on "Momentum", a 60' wooden schooner.  Momentum is a recently built replica of the pilot schooners that sailed on the Chesapeake Bay during the hay-day of Tall Ships.   The Schooner Momentum is currently used as a Marine Archeology Research platform, also offering Sunset Cruises on weekends.
