A Prayer To God

There are so many songs I sing,

Yet none are so perfect for Thee.

I offer up this simple prayer,

That You O God may hear.

I ask O God, for nothing more,

That You let me know Your love for me.

I see the Cross, but as if that was not enough,

In the little things You show me much.

My present state is not suffice,

I seem to be on thin ice.

Let me know You, Show Your power today.

I wish I may, I wish I might, know Your love for me this day.

There is so much I wish to say,

Yet it is so hard to bring forth.

Help my mouth speak these words,

Give me countenance.

I shall hush now,

Hearing only Thee.

I truly wish for You to speak with me.

My ears are willing to hear.

Please Dear God, give me the words to say.

Let me, O God, witness this very day.

In Your Holy Name I pray,
