Colin's Album Note
"I wrote this song in response to someone who had diluted the obvious intent of the Bible so much that the whole thing - and God Himself - had become a take-or-leave grab bag of fuzzy ideas. And I just don't see it in the Bible. I serve a real Jesus, who lived a real life and died a real death and won real forgiveness and a real hope for me. Any other conclusion involves playing tricks with the clear message of the Bible. Exposure to Studdart Kennedy's poem 'faith' completed the idea - if the real Christ is your real Hope, well bet all you have and all you are on Him. Nothing else and no one else is worth it."
