Welcome to the very 1st issue of Mara's Ads! This will be a weekly ezine that will be sent out on Fridays.

If you subscribe, you get a free advertise- ment. Actually, all the advertisements are FREE. I will publish weekly (for now). The ads are first come, first to be published.

Are you as tired as I am of popup ads? I open the browser, type in the website address that I want, and it starts to load. When I start to enter my user name and password, a window pops up. And, it is usually for something I really don't want. It might be okay if it happened maybe once a site. But, when the same stupid window keeps opening up right after I close it, I begin to lose my cool.

I guess the ads are good advertisement. They keep the vendor's name in your face. I've even considered using them on my website, but just couldn't go through with it. I am sure that there are other people who think like I do. The advertisers who use the popups might want to reconsider the frequency of the stupid little ad popping up! After about the umpteenth time, I usually decide I wouldn't buy that product or service for love nor money! I call it the annoyance factor. That's something the advertisers forgot about.

Hey! That gives me an idea. How about an informal poll here?

Send me an email or go to my website and leave a message on the VoteNowBoard stating whether or not the popup ads bother you. I'll publish the results in a couple of weeks.

Are you on so many safelists and groups that you forget to post to each and every one of them? Try this:

1. Set up a list in your word processing program. Most will create a link to a website when you type in the url informa- tion or the email address. List the name of the list, your username, password, frequency to post, and anything else you need to remember for that particular list.

2. Save, using whatever file document name you wish. I use - "safelists url".

3. Each day, open the document and start posting!
